Holly Rose lives in Victoria, BC, Canada with her mom and dad. Holly has been drawing, painting, sculpting and making crafts since about the age of two.
One of her earliest character drawings was of a smiling heart-shaped figure with legs and furry ears called “heart man.” She loves to draw something new at least once a day, often sketching from memory or drawing inspiration from her collection of animal books and encyclopedias. She also likes to draw with her mom and dad.
Around Christmastime, Holly gets help from her dad to print one of her recent paintings on greeting cards that she gives to her family and friends. When not working on her artwork, Holly loves to watch movies and sip root beer floats. She also enjoys going for walks with her puppy Sunny or hanging out with her two cats, Gin and Marlo.
She loves animals of all kinds—especially wild cats—and enjoys discovering interesting insects, slugs, snakes, lizards and snails on walks. Holly once kept six pet snails she found in her backyard, and let them out of their terrarium every day for a half hour of playtime. Holly’s ambition is to become a veterinarian to help take care of sick or injured animals.
